Role Overview
Prepares general and/or basic Civil discipline capital cost estimates. Develops basic discipline conceptual through definitive estimates. Takes a lead role when required, in estimate reviews and presentations. Provides and supports data and cost analysis. Uses, and supports the development and maintenance of estimating databases. Provides technical and operational supervision to assigned personnel when required. Executes simultaneous tasks within broadly defined parameters.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, ConstructionManagement, or equivalent years experience.
Minimum 5 years experience.
Working knowledge of Excel, and Access is required.

Demonstrated entry to mid-level understanding of Estimating core processes requiring direction and supervision.
Familiar with Estimating procedures and processes. Basic understanding of estimate classifications and types.
Familiar with pricing sources.
Demonstrates basic applied analytical and quantitative skills.
Entry-level knowledge of engineering or construction customarily acquired through a course of specialized instruction. Alternatively, sufficient entry-level experience in performing engineering discipline related tasks (engineering drafting, quantity take-off, statistical analysis, scheduling) leading to an understanding of technical processes, engineering drawings and quantity determinations.
Basic knowledge of standard software applications currently being used by Bechtel such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).

Additional Information

Familiarity with Civil Engineering and construction design parameters, are a prerequisite for this position.
