The candidate should have the following:

*BS or MS Degree in Engineering or Polymer Science

* Significantexperience in non-metallic materials of construction and protective coatings and paint technology. Includes in-depth knowledge of coatings types to include adaptation and selection of the correct material for application to specific equipment type for various environments.

* Experience level requires knowledge of surface preparation techniques and application equipment.

* Knowledge of codes of construction such as SSPC, NACE, ASME, and ISO are a must.

* Experience in the Oil, Gas and Chemical industry is a plus.

* Chartered or PE license also a plus.

Duties Include:

Material selection of coatings, insulation, fireproofing, concrete, refractory, polymeric gasket materials, and other non-metallic materials of construction
Preparation of specifications for coatings and non-metallic materials of construction
Review of vendor prints for compliance to specification requirements
Representation of Materials Engineering Technology in internal company meetings with Project Management, Clients and Suppliers
Provide non-metallic technical support to projects
Support Construction in resolving technical issues and training of field engineers
