Role Overview
Responsible for the integrated EPC and Startup schedules with specific emphasis on the construction schedule. Should be very familiar with Construction Planning and work with Construction personnel in developing and managing the plan. Should be able to lead the Planning effort and supervise schedulers working on construction plan. Should understand the complete project scope, project schedule objectives and develop and maintain plan and schedule to accomplish the same. Plan and coordinate schedule interfaces with owners, vendors and subcontractors for the assigned sections of the schedule. Coordinate all activity sequences for the construction schedule with the total project plan. Continually monitor critical path for Bechtel Management. Proactively assess progress, completion forecasts and provide solutions to mitigate schedule delays or optimize project completion. Evaluate project progress against historical indicators and provide Bechtel Management with comparative analysis. Implement of Scheduling & Progress monitoring systems. Integration of the home office and field planning and scheduling efforts

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree required
Minimum 7 years planning experience in field for a major EPC firm.
Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
Skilled in oral and written communication.
Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (Primavera and Microsoft Office Applications, for example).
Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
