CH2M HILL Lead Piping Designer Jobs - Houston, TX The challenge? Help develop and provide high quality, leading edge sustainable engineering solutions to our clients in the power, oil & gas, chemicals and petrochemical, and petroleum refining industries for water/wastewater treatment. Our Lead Piping Designer position will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting Water, Energy and Chemical projects in our Houston market. Each day you will be an important team leader as you participate in the design, coordination, execution, procurement support, construction support and execution of multiple mechanical engineering projects. You should be a self-motivated, detailed oriented professional with a minimum of 15 years of experience working as a Piping Designer on design of water treatment, wastewater treatment, oil and gas and chemical facilities and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project. Our Lead Piping Designers: - Supervise/ Lead the project design team for piping including determining work assignments and meeting project budget and schedule. - Participate in design coordination with engineers and project management. - Perform design work utilizing 3D CAD systems - SP3D and CADWorx. - Participate in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets. - Provide input to and help develop P&IDs, equipment specifications, vendor proposals and technical studies. Special Note: - Preference will be given to candidates residing in the greater Houston area. - CH2MHill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc.,) to fill this position. Basic Qualifications- 15 years piping design experience. - 3 years experience as a lead designer for heavy industrial projects. - 5 years experience utilizing a 3D piping package such as SP3D, CADWorx or similar.
