CH2M HILL Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer Careers - Denver, CO

The challenge? Help develop and provide high quality, leading edge sustainable engineering solutions to our clients in the power, oil & gas, chemicals and petrochemical, and petroleum refining industries for water/wastewater treatment. Our Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer position will provide you with the opportunity to assist project teams on consulting studies, conceptual engineering, up through detailed engineering projects. Each day, you will be an important team member of CH2M HILL's industrial water/wastewater delivery team. You should be a self-motivated professional with at least 5 years of successful process engineering biological treatment experience, and hold a Masters Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering. You should have a desire to grow professionally as well as personally with each new industrial water/wastewater engineering project.

Our Industrial Wastewater Process Engineers:

Demonstrate consulting and design project execution success with processes related to industrial water/wastewater treatment applications.
Provide subject matter expertise for industrial water/wastewater treatment permitting and the delivery of treatability studies, conceptual design, process optimization, and system operations of: power, oil & gas, petrochemical, and petroleum refining industries.
Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, and are dependable with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide a high quality of work.
Support the Business Development organization with similar efforts for new clients. Participate in achieving a Target Zero safety plan.

Basic Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or closely related technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years experience in conceptual design of biological, chemical and physical wastewater treatment technologies, and general industrial water systems technology as applied to operations of: Oil & Gas, Refinery
Proven competency in delivering consulting and conceptual design projects involving industrial water, stormwater and wastewater treatment
Sound understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools and metrics
Technical understanding of the driving regulations and technologies for treating industrial wastewater in the power, petrochemical, and refining industries
Sound knowledge of industrial water/wastewater marketplace with a focus on wastewater treatment in the power, petrochemical, and refining industries
EIT required

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications, we also desire the following:

M.S. in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or closely related technical discipline
8 years experience in conceptual design of biological, chemical and physical wastewater treatment technologies, and general industrial water systems technology as applied to power, oil & gas and petroleum refining industries
Technical expertise to solve client challenges
Expertise in industrial wastewater regulations and compliance strategies
Experience in execution of conceptual through detailed design and construction support for industrial water projects
P.E. license or the ability to obtain within one year
