Minimum Requirements:
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school degree or demonstrated equivalent.
2. 3 years experience supporting day-to-day operations as a HVAC/R Technician.
3. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
1. 2 years experience with electrical voltage up to (480 volt 3 phase).
2. 2 years experience troubleshooting and repairing Variable Frequency Drives.
3. 2 years experience repairing and installing sheet metal as related to air handling systems.
4. Experience with high tolerance critical climate control.
5. Experience with Centrifugal Chillers, Cabinet Coolers, Water Coolers, etc.
6. Experience with Building Automation Systems, Siemens.
7. Experience with steam up to 50 psi and associated components.
8. Experience with DX Split Systems and package units.
9. Experience with reading prints and schematics.
10. Experience with Restaurant style refrigeration systems.
This position may require a valid Driver's License.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
All Positions with URS will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
All Positions with URS may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical Requirements
• Have the ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
• Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• Have the flexibility to bend, stoop and/or squat repetitively during shift.
• Have the ability to kneel repetitively during shift.
• Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis during shift.
• Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift.
• Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
• Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.

Job Description:
URS has a 1st shift HVAC/R Technician III position at our location in East Peoria, IL!
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, performing preventative/corrective maintenance to a wide variety of facility related equipment. Must be a self-motivated individual. Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU's, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, etc. in an industrial environment. Strong mechanical/electrical skills are required. Ability to work safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V. Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits ranging from 24VAC/DC and up including lighting and load centers.
This is a 12 hour day shift on the rotation of 3 days on and 3 days off, 1 day on and 3 days off, 3 days on and 1 day off for a 2-week pay period.
