Minimum Requirements: Basic Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. 2. 3 years experience as an electrical maintenance electrician in an industrial setting. 3. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: 1. 2 year associate's degree in an electrical related field. 2. Experience working safely with 480V 3 phase circuits. 3. Experience troubleshooting and repairing lighting and security related systems. 4. Experience troubleshooting HVAC and kitchen equipment and controls. 5. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electric motors and motor controls. 6. Experience operating aerial and platform lifts.
This position may require a valid Driver's License. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. All Positions with URS will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. All Positions with URS may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical Requirements • Have the ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. • Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift. • Have the flexibility to bend, stoop and/or squat repetitively during shift. • Have the ability to kneel repetitively during shift. • Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis during shift. • Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift. • Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift. • Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements: • Coping with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Note: No relocation available. Job Description: URS has a 1st shift Electrical Technician III position available in East Peoria, IL.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, trouble calls and building tour duties for all equipment that provides normal and emergency electric power in the facility. Maintain electrical wiring system and components in accordance with the provisions of the National Electrical Code. Repair lighting systems, electrical equipment such as switchgear, disconnects, faulty breakers, emergency gen sets, etc.
This is a 12 hour day shift on the rotation of 3 days on and 3 days off, 1 day on and 3 days off, 3 days on and 1 day off for a 2 week pay period.
