Job Description:
URS is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team at Fort Meade in Maryland!
The Senior Security Engineer will support DISA in providing Personnel, Physical and some Information Assurance security functions for the Networking Services Directorate.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals and guidelines to include; writing SOP( Standard Operating Procedures), Access Rosters, and Open and Close Procedures.
• Draft security policies and field security questions.
• Provide support in the development of policy, security education and awareness support.
• Develop security awareness materials with government direction.
• Support the development, integration, and execution of the records management program.
• Support and assistant in the identification, control, production, distribution, storage, and retrieval of all deliverable records data.
• Participate in Working Groups on security policy awareness on behalf of the sponsor.
• Perform other security policy, education, and awareness support functions as tasked.
• Investigate SCI security infractions, making recommendations and preparing required reports.
• Conduct continuing SCI security education training and awareness programs to ensure all SCI indoctrinated individuals are kept apprised of the requirements and guidelines for protecting SCI information.
• Ensure all associated personnel are knowledgeable of the Privacy Act and in compliance with security policies JAFAN 6.0, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual( NISPOM), ICD 704, ICD 705, EO 12958, 13292 and 12968.
• Assist in ensuring appropriate accreditation documentation is available for each SCIF and communications/ automated information systems under NS security cognizance.
• Check identification of all visitors and ensure all are properly cleared via JPAS or other local databases when performing VAR( Visit Authorization Requests).
• Analyzes information applying national adjudicative criteria to ensure personnel processed for access meet prerequisite personnel clearance and/ or investigative requirements.
• Coordinate access approval or denial process with appropriate access approval authority.
• Establish and oversee specialized procedures for transmitting material to and from program elements.
• Perform Tier 1 reviews and provide program recommendations to the PSO for review.
• Conduct indoctrination briefings and processing of relevant documentation( e.g., Program indoctrination agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and polygraph agreements).
• Update program access lists or rosters in appropriate database( s) following indoctrination.
• Establish security training and briefings specifically tailored to the unique requirement of the program.
• Submit Contractor SCI Nominations, SCI Courier Cards, and NCR badge requests according to individual eligibility.
• Monitor reproduction and/ or duplication and destruction capability of program material.
• Assist in ISSO( Information Systems Security Operation) functions( i.e. provide audits on laptops, add user accounts as needed for specific laptops, and provide trouble shoot work to assist in unlocking laptops).
