Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in related field (business, marketing, engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience. • Minimum 12 years of progressive marketing/business development experience. • Ability to engage with senior technical and management staff to obtain necessary information and commitment for a specific effort. • Leadership skills; recognized among peers as a subject-matter expect. • Creativity and sound management of "must win" and other marketing efforts. • Understanding of client needs and communicate to the Operations Manager so that they may provide a job kick-off and follow up with client as needed. • Ability to think strategically and long-term. • Ability to manage complex situations. • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Job Description: This position includes Business Development in the North Dakota and Upper Plains States Area. • Responsible for client development for suite of technical services offered to URS clients in energy and infrastructure markets with a primary focus in Oil & Gas, Pipeline and Industrial clientele. Identify new opportunities and develop sales strategy for increasing revenue and market share. • Aligns Business Development pursuits with sales goals. • Assist in development of integrating all company resources, including engineering, environmental, transportation and construction/construction management. • Develop and maintain relationships with oil and gas industry regulatory agencies in North Dakota as well as NDOT concerning oil and gas issues. • Develop high profile involvement in, state and local professional organizations associated with the oil and gas industry and other markets served by URS. • Interface with URS regional and national business line managers. Interface with all regional and local technical practice leaders, keeping them involved with pursuits. • Become knowledgeable regarding existing national URS client service agreements for URS clients with assets in North Dakota and surrounding states. • Support modifications and updates to regional business plan. Maintain a sales funnel which tracks all clients and projects being pursued. • Tracks wins against sales goals. • Skills are required in development of marketing material' proposal preparation and interviewing for RFP opportunities.
