The Philadelphia Office of AECOM currently has an opening for a Traffic Engineer with 0-3 years experience in the development of roadway traffic plans and traffic analyses. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required, with an EIT preferred. Successful candidate will have knowledge of traffic engineering concepts and working knowledge of traffic analysis software programs. Any prior design experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as it relates to traffic engineering, signal design, plan production, project estimates and specifications is a plus. Candidate will be responsible for preparing reports, studies and plans for various transportation facilities and traffic engineering projects. Effective oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidates must be self motivated with a desire to work on a broad range of transportation projects. Advancement opportunities are available to those candidates who show initiative and firm understanding of design concepts and leadership skills. Qualifications: Experience with SYNCHRO and HCS traffic analysis software, Microstation and Microsoft Office is desired. Education: A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required, with an EIT preferred.
