We are seeking a candidate to fill a position as an entry level civil engineer in the Transportation group located in Madison, Wisconsin. Responsibilities will include: • Traffic data collection and analysis • Traffic impact studies • Safety assessments and corridor reviews • Traffic management plans • Traffic modelling • Intersection control evaluations • Design of traffic control devices • Route location planning and feasibility studies • Environmental assessments for transportation facilities We are seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer, with a BSCE or MSCE Degree with an emphasis in transportation design. Successful candidates will have 0 - 4 years' experience in transportation related projects. Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain EIT (FE) registration within 6 months is desirable. An enthusiastic individual eager to face challenges, assume responsibility for their efforts, and take pride in a job well-done is best qualified to meet the demands of this position. Candidates are expected to apply their technical training to develop solutions, be willing to work within a group, and learn new skills. Computer literacy and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly are a requirement. Candidates must be able to adjust to short-term assignments. Familiarity w/ Microstation or AutoCAD preferred. The candidate will need to effectively communicate (written & oral) with peers and understand engineering requirements. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
