AECOM Buildings and Places seeks a full-time, entry-level landscape designer to support our landscape design and planning studios in Alexandria, VA. Under the supervision of a Senior Designer, the Landscape Designer will work closely with project design teams and lead project designers to assist on projects within the Washington DC Metro Area, Mid-Atlantic Region, and Internationally. The landscape architecture and planning work in the Alexandria office includes a broad range of urban-based, multidisciplinary public realm projects including museums, monuments, streetscapes, parks, waterfronts, urban design plans, master-planning, green infrastructure, and ecological restorations.
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- Accredited Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Architecture
- Professional experience in a design office is preferred (0 to 3 years)
- Demonstrated production experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Sketchup are required
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills (English) are necessary.
- Proficiency with REVIT, hand drawing, ArcMap, and Rhino is beneficial
- Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work
- Ability to integrate seamlessly into both multi-disciplinary landscape design teams as well as Urban Design / Planning teams strongly preferred
- Must be a US Citizen
