We are looking for individuals interested in an exciting career in the Coatings industry with opportunities currently available in these subsidiaries. Professionals any of the following expertise: • NACE level I (Must Have) • SSPC Certifications such as C3/C5 • OSHA 10 Hr • OSHA 30 Hr • TSC or other MPT training • Hazwoper 40 hr Applicants should have the experience from at least one of the following agencies: • Connecticut Department of transportation (Conndot) • Massachusetts Department of transportation (Massdot) • New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTK) • New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) • New York City Department of Transportation experience (NYCDOT) • New York State Department of Transportation experience (NYSDOT) • New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) • West Virginia Department of highways (WVDOH) • Virginia Department of Transportation experience (VDOT) Inspectors must have High school diploma, Bachelor's Degree is a plus. Candidates must become acquainted with the corresponding project specifications including paint data sheets, MSDS's, Worker protection plans and other related health & Safety plans. Must have experienced with non-destructive testing, Destructive testing, Paint Mixing oversight experience and experience in lead abatement projects. Inspection duties and responsibilities include but not limited to onsite inspection of all coating related activities (ambient conditions, DFT's, hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal, etc). Write daily notes in journal and completes daily reports. Must be able to follow basic, standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and resolve routine issues. Review of monitoring results; development of action items lists to maintain system integrity; overseeing the completion of action items; and making recommendations regarding corrosion control methodologies is a plus. Strong analytical and time management skills. Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license. These positions will interface with clients and contractor representatives. Therefore, good written and oral communication skills are essential. This individual will work closely with Corrosion Technicians to assure the proper installation, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of external and internal corrosion control programs being implemented. Occasional irregular or extended work hours such as Night Shift /Weekend work availability. Individual will be required to work in extreme temperature conditions, both hot and cold; in and/or around moisture; on slippery and/or uneven surfaces, in confined spaces; at heights, Occasional standing, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, balancing and reaching. Individual must have knowledge of all Personal Protective Equipment and must pass respiratory clearance to be fit tested for respirator use. Experience in critical thinking, problem solving and root cause analysis is a must.
