Job Description:  AECOM currently has an opportunity for an Experienced Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Bridge Group in Boston Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects while bringing a fresh outlook to the team. 
Specifics of the role include:

•  Strengthen the leadership team in the Structural Department in the areas of staff supervision, project management, project engineering, client management and marketing. 
•  Conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of new bridges.
•  Assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.
•  Load rating of existing bridges.
•  Project engineering and project management.
•  Using computer software for analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures. 
•  Ability to work under occasional pressure to meet tight project schedules.
•  Preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, and design calculations.
•  Utilizing understanding of construction techniques and filed conditions.  
Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with ability to make presentations are paramount.  As a team-player you are professional in dealing with colleagues of all levels and disciplines.  This position is an opportunity to work within a well-established and very successful group that offers a diverse range of projects, technical challenges and career development opportunities.

Qualifications:

•  Structural Engineer with 15-25 years of experience, primarily in bridge design
•  Bachelor's Degree with a Structural Engineering focus; Master's Degree a plus
•  Strong Technical skills and ability to lead technical staff
•  Project experience on MassDOT projects and/or other State DOT's
•  Registered P.E. in MA and/or surrounding states
•  Project engineering and management skills
•  Marketing skills including proposal preparations and presentation skills
•  Well versed in modern structural analytical and design software packages
•  Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
