Position Summary: The Environmental Staff Scientist will support execution of projects involving soil and groundwater investigation, compliance, and remediation activities in accordance with the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, or other regulatory programs. This position will support a large clean-up effort in Battle Creek, MI. Goals and Duties: The Goals and Duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist the Project Manager in efficient execution of project scope of work on time and within budget; • Provide field services for site investigation, drilling, soil and groundwater sample collection, and related work; • Provide office support for data management and report preparation; • Coordinate subcontractors; and, • Maintain the required AECOM-related documentation and forms. Minimum BS degree in a science related discipline with > 5 years of environmental consulting experience • Experience in remediation of petroleum impacted sites and underground storage tanks is a plus • Working knowledge Michigan environmental regulations and guidelines • OSHA 40-hour training a plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work well in a project team and a fast paced environment What We Offer AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people.
