AECOM is hiring a Senior Manager, Major Transit Projects Engineer to support our office in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
AECOM's network of talented professionals supports public and private transportation clients across the Upper Midwest. We build on our extensive knowledge to plan, design, and manage world class transit systems. As the successful candidate your role will involve:
- Directing and coordinating Transit engineering production activities for Streetcar, Light Rail, and High Speed Rail projects.
- Support AECOM's marketing of Rail Engineering Services to clients in the Upper Midwest, including promoting innovative project delivery and financing methods.
- Fostering creativity and innovation working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence.
- Demonstrating mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
- Providing technical guidance and staff development in support of the delivery of a range of transit and rail projects.
- Making project and staffing decisions and recommendations.
- Responsibility for project and task budgets, department resources, and supporting Project Managers in meeting contract deliverables within budget and on schedule.
Qualification Requirements:
- 10 + years of combined rail design and design management experience in the rail/transit industry including preparation of plans and specifications for rail transit.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer Registration in State of Minnesota, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- Project experience with Metro Transit and Regional Railroad Agencies highly valued.
