AECOM is looking to hire a Regional Risk Manager for our US Central Region. Reporting to the Director, Risk - Americas, this position will be responsible for the overall implementation of standardized risk management activities for the entire Region and assists in development of policy, strategy, and objectives to obtain coverage for the organization's assets and liabilities. Responsibilities:
- Support operations, including the Regional Executive and three District Managers, to provide guidance and direction to improve performance on projects including risk management, quality, claims and client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and feedback to project teams for high risk pursuits in order to help identify risks and ensure mitigation measures, insurance strategies and contingencies are accurately developed.
- Assist operations to ensure compliance and conformance with internal Delegations of Authority policies and procedures.
- Provide risk management training to project managers utilizing internal training procedures and courses.
- Participate in project reviews of high risk projects to assist in proactively identifying and mitigating risks and poor performance in meeting contractual obligations and budgets.
- Conduct root cause investigation of technical claims as directed by legal.
- Support operations managers on claims management and resolution as directed by legal.
- Coordinate with Regional Quality Manager to provide clear message of the importance of quality in our work and compliance with our internal QMS.
- Assist operations and Regional Quality Manager to develop action plans to improve execution in under-performing offices
- Work with project teams in creation and maintenance of risk registers, facilitating risk interviews and workshops, and conducting analytical quantitative risk analysis
Requirements:
- 15+ years progressive, related experience including 8+ years in project delivery, project management, risk management, and/or quality assurance
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction is required; a Master's degree and is preferred
