BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 15 year experience working in the Offshore market sector.
  • University Degree required. Degree in Engineering preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated experience developing business within Offshore market sectors
  • Good understanding of the competitive landscape of the offshore E&C industry and key players
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • High standard of working ethics

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Build and maintain personal relationships with appropriate middle and senior management executives in customer organizations and strategic teaming partners. Inquire, understand and keep the offshore business line manager informed of clients' key development plan, projects, and programmatic and technical requirements.
  • Present Bechtel offshore's capabilities and strategy through formal and informal client meetings. Demonstrate through the use of personal knowledge, supplemented by other Bechtel personnel, how Bechtel can help meet the customers' requirements and gain shares in the offshore market.
  • Identify prospects and gather prospects info at early stage. Communicate with other offshore business line leadership team on project schedule and required support from other functions.
  • Work closely with proposal manager to develop detailed win plan for key prospects. Keeps aware of the business development activity and strategy of competitors, including their pricing trends and approaches. Follows up on jobs won and lost to determine the reasons why Bechtel was or was not selected.
  • Prepare information package for offshore management screening and BNB for OG&C management screening meeting
  • Coordinate with OG&C tendering group to ensure proposal process in compliance with Bechtel process. Prepare and/or provide inputs to required policy letters and approval documents according to Bechtel policies. Coordinate with Proposal Manager to assist preparation of quality proposals on time.
  • Develops strategy and leads proposal presentations and fee negotiations with customers. Work with other OG&C BD managers and account managers to develop detailed zippering plan to capture the prospects.
  • Monitor and communicate offshore industry trends, customer development news and competitor strategic moves.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Comprehensive experience in sales and knowledge of the Offshore industry and its players, competitors, trends and technologies.
Knowledge of and experience in company operations.
Understand Bechtel offshore's strategic focus areas and direction. Thorough knowledge of company capabilities and services to other customers.
Skill in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability in making presentations to customers and management.
Knowledge in preparation of capture plans, pre-positioning, target, pursuit and capture of strategic target.

REPORTING:
Report to Manager of Offshore M&BD manager.Receives functional guidance from the Manager of OG&C M&BD manager.
