Role Details

Bechtel is currently seeking a Six Sigma Black Belt to join their Business Improvement department on the Wheatstone Project.

This role will be responsible for the implementation of an effective Six Sigma change management program and "Build a Better Bechtel" initiatives.
This role would require the incumbent to be Fly in Fly out.

Key responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement an effective strategy to deliver a continuous and dynamic pipeline of Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) to address the key project risks and cost-saving opportunities using methodologies such as DMAIC, LEAN, Innovation tools and Process Management Systems (PMS)
Ensure effective and accurate performance reporting to project and GBU as needed
Understand and achieve project strategic objectives and targeted performance levels
Establish and maintain an effective strategy to communicate, within the project team and to client organizations, the capabilities and performance of the project Six Sigma deployment.
Implement Oil Gas & Chemicals (OG&C) Global Business Unit (GBU)and Corporate Six Sigma Procedures and Instructions.
Capture and transfer knowledge arising from PIPs and PMS', across projects and GBUs, including maintaining PIP Tracker database.

Key factors to your success include:

Recognised degree in an engineering or scientific discipline OR specialised courses in engineering, quality, personnel administration or a specialised discipline and practical work experience in fields of engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, decommissioning, or business administration
In-depth knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean and Performance Based Leadership tools and techniques
Black Belt Six Sigma Certification coupled with demonstrated experience is desirable
Demonstrated experience in strategic, managerial planning and implementation
Ability to work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
Advanced skills with Microsoft Suite Applications - Excel, Word, Access
