Position: Smart Plant Automation Specialist

Primary Job Duties/Functions:

Prepares and edits SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) catalog files and equipment profiles for corporate use.
Assists project SPEL drawing templates creations, configurations and customizations.
Communicates with SPEL users with respect to Intergraph SPEL hotfix and service requests maintenances.
Shares knowledge of SPEL setup, SPEL drawing customization and provides technical support.
Prepares in-house SPEL training documents and provide user training.
Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Perform the following tasks:
a) Develop/Implement SPEL work procedures for the department
b) Analyze, test, and diagnose SPEL database, report and drawing issues.
c) Test Intergraph SPEL software releases and patches before deployment.
d) Create sample project in the training database
e) Assists in preparation of project SPEL setup, archive, workshare and replication.

Additional Responsibilities:

Shares knowledge of SP3D setup, SP3D drawing customization and provides technical support.
Prepares in-house SP3D electrical training documents and provide user training.
Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Additional tasks:
a) Develop/Implement SP3D work procedures for engineering projects
b) Analyze, test, and diagnose SP3D modeling and drawing issues.
c) Test Intergraph SP3D software releases and patches before deployment.
d) Create modeling objects in the training database
e) Assists in preparation of project SP3D setup, archive, workshare and replication.

Requirements:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Technology or Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience on SmartPlant 3D electrical model.
Prior experience in an EPC environment.
Knowledge of SmartPlant 3D symbol Designer, VB and .Net programming skills related to SP3D objects and application programming interfaces of SmartSketch drawing.
Office automation skills, primarily word processing and spreadsheet tools.
Good understanding of standard electrical components and applicable industry standards and codes.
Practical work experience in design engineering of oil, gas and chemical industry or relevant equivalent experience in all types of engineering.
