Job Description:  CH2M HILL Superintendent Jobs - Austin, Texas
The Challenge? Successfully deliver constructive solutions. Our Structural Superintendent position will provide you an opportunity to serve our clients in the construction of major transportation infrastructure improvements. Duties include serving as the Structural Superintendent for a 75m Design/Build Transportation Project in Tyler, Texas. Each day you will be responsible for maintaining a qualified and skilled work force and act as the primary interface with Regional Health & Safety Officers and uniform execution of Field Operations.
You should be a self-motivated professional with a minimum of 12 years of experience working on large Heavy Civil Projects including Heavy/Highway. You must have experience in asphalt and concrete paving as well as MOT. It is required that you have experience in field documentation of daily construction activities and field personnel management. You should have the desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each superintendent job opportunity.

Our General Structural Superintendents (in conjunction with Project Superintendents) are responsible for:
  • Hiring, rotating, and terminating CRAFT WORKERS
  • Establishing and maintaining a wage structure for CRAFT WORKERS
  • Reviewing performance and setting wages for CRAFT WORKERS
  • Assigning CRAFT WORKERS to required training and maintaining records
  • Maintaining tool and equipment inventory
  • Implementing maintenance programs and maintaining records for company-owned tools and equipment
  • Forecasting manpower by trade and equipment requirements; providing monthly report to C.O.O.
  • Reviewing quality of workmanship, identifying problems and facilitating corrections
  • Project set-up
  • Preconstruction meetings
  • Maintaining quality
  • Project Safety management
Field document control and uniform execution for all projects including:
  • 3 - week look-ahead
  • Pre-task planning
  • Equipment Logs
  • Concrete pour sheets
  • Excavation permits
  • Daily reports
  • Field Orders
  • Participating in post-construction review

Basic Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 12 years of Heavy Civil experience including Heavy / Highway Projects.
  • Experience in asphalt and concrete paving as well as MOT Experience in field documentation of daily construction activities and field personnel management
