Minimum Requirements: Basic Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent. 2. 5 years work experience in electronics, pneumatics and hydraulic instrumentation and process controls associated with building management and building fire monitoring systems. 3. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: 1. 2 year college/Technical degree in Electronics or Instrument Controls Technology. 2. ISA Level 1 certification or the ability to obtain within one year is required. 3. Experience with digital controls systems, fire systems, PLC's, building automation systems, etc. 4. Knowledge and/or training in building automation controls. 5. Experience working in a chemical or pharmaceutical research facility. 6. Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate facility controls and systems. 7. Experience working with a CMMS system.
This position may require a valid Driver's License. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. All Positions with URS will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location. All Positions with URS may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical Requirements • Have the ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. • Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift. • Have the flexibility to bend, stoop and/or squat repetitively during shift. • Have the ability to kneel repetitively during shift. • Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis during shift. • Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis during shift. • Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift. • Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements: • Coping with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

The I & C Technician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative maintenance and calibrations on the industrial HVAC, Building Management System (BMS), fire safety system, PLC,s and other controls for commercial and industrial equipment. Will also respond to and provide service and feedback to the customer on monitoring controls issues for conditioned spaces.
