Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering field
• Minimum 15 years extensive and diverse experience in the transit and rail industry
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a project/program manager for major transit and rail projects
• Minimum 10 years of experience working for or with Class I railroads
Working knowledge and understanding of transit and rail design and construction projects
• Excellent written and oral communication as well as analytical skills
• Valid Driver's License

Job Description:

URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Program Manager for immediate employment in Florida, located either in the Miami, Boca Raton, Orlando or the Jacksonville URS office. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting and challenging projects.

The Sr. Program Manager is a senior leader with direct responsibility for the growth and stewardship of ongoing service services to CSX, NS, FEC and the Class 1 Railroad market sector. This role is accountable for the success, including financial, of transit and/or rail projects as well as accountable for the delivery of project documentation to the high standards of URS and the client within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Client Account Manager for FEC, SunRail, TriRail and other Railroads
• Develop heavy rail work with Class I's CSX and NS, regionals and shortlines
• Work with commuter agencies with heavy rail and Amtrak interaction such as SunRail and TriRail
• Assist with the preparation of design tenders and proposals and participate in workgroup technical activities
• Will interact with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of track, structures, geotechnical, signals, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and civil engineers and scientists
• Identify and build teams for complex and significant transit and rail projects for project pursuits
• Responsible for the development of a local transit and rail design group in Florida
