Somali Language Analyst Job Description Location- Washington/Georgia/Texas [OCONUS - 120 days] The Native Language Analyst shall have demonstrated expertise in a particular foreign language skill to fulfill the assigned tasks. Native Language Analyst shall possess both native level language capability and excellent proficiency in American English to perform transcription, translation and/or interpreting tasks as required by the Government. The ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) shall be used to determine a native speaker's proficiency in their language; it shall be required to determine proficiency in American English. Native Language Analyst shall possess recent (within last two (2) years of resume submission) validated test scores in at least one of the languages listed above in Section 1 of Appendix A of this document. 1. (U) The Native Language Analyst shall have the following requisite skills: a. (U) Achieve a minimum proficiency level of Advanced Low (proficiency equivalent to 4/4 (listening/reading)) on both the native language and American English OPI. 2.
