Role Overview Provide onsite, real time support to resolving coating issues associated with the installation of equipment, pipe, insulation, fire proofing, structural components, and other coating related items as they arise. Function as the main Resident Engineering Team point of contact for coordination of all MET related issues Provide coatings related support for other Curtis Island LNG projects as available and in consultation with the GLNG Resident Engineer and Bechtel GLNG Site Management. Responsibilities include: Being available for consultation by Field Engineering on all coating issues Monitoring the Bechtel computer based field change and request for information program (PTR) for all GLNG MET related issues and either providing a technical response or coordinating / expediting one from other MET resources as required Providing technical support to address all MET related deviations to client requirements including the creation of management of change deviation requests and / or formal responses to non-conformances as required Basic Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering Good communications skills 10 years or more of experience in coatings, fire proofing, and insulation systems Sufficiently knowledgeable of other MET technologies to coordinate overall GLNG project support for welding & metallurgical application issues through resources at other Curtis Island LNG project job sites as well as HO Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
