Job Description: URS is seeking a dynamic, innovative, Business Development Director to directly support URS' Systems Engineering and Information Solutions (SEIS) operating group combatant command (COCOM) programs. Reporting to the Vice President, SEIS Business Development, this highly visible position will work with the most senior managers across URS to develop strategy and drive business growth within this key account.
URS is seeking a seasoned professional that understands Defense enterprise priorities and initiatives including the broad and continuing mission of the Unified Combatant Commands. Working knowledge of the Unified Command Plan and the underlying regional and functional COCOMs is essential. Experience with key functional COCOMs including Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), and Central Command (CENTCOM) is critical; while experience with other COCOMs including Africa Command (AFRICOM), Pacific Command (PACOM) Strategic Command (STRATCOM), Transportation Command (TRANSCOM), and European Command (EUCOM) is highly desirable.
This position will work closely with the appropriate business programs to provide strategic direction and leadership; develop comprehensive account plans; identify and qualify new business opportunities; develop creative capture strategies; and assist in the preparation of winning proposals for our government clients.
Responsibilities include market analysis, strategic business planning including identification, qualification, and capture, leading to award of major programs. This position will include oversight of customer contact and positioning; teaming interactions; and coordination with other internal business development resources available across URS. Experience with customer relationship management and opportunity tracking as well as experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance based contracting are key.
