Job Description:

URS is currently seeking an Engineer to perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/ mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a lead of a design, analysis or review team on the most complex engineering assignments.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Plan and coordinate the efforts to verify that all Standard Items, Local Standard Items, Specifications, and Process Control Procedures (EPCP's) employed in the conduct of the maintenance on critical systems are technically correct.
2. Responsible for maintaining and tracking the status, prioritization, review documentation and storage (in an electronic library) of all EPCP's.
3. Review and evaluate engineering aspects of the Quality Management Program (QMP) of all organizations responsible. Responsible for ensuring the proposed maintenance on critical systems are in place and adequate for work being performed as well as for maintaining a sound technical oversight of the QMP.
4. Plan, coordinates, monitors and asses a Self-Audit program and Engineering Compliance Program regarding engineering processes as well as Maintenance Team Process.
5. Conveys technical information to appropriate levels of management to ensure timely concise and relevant information flow for the purpose of socialization of technical issues that potentially pave political, operational, or other impact to the naval community.
6. Participate in the review of the accomplishment of command Technical Authority audits

8. Perform other duties as assigned.
