Senior Reports Analyst


Job Description

Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other government agencies in planning and conducting operations on national and tactical levels, including both classified and unclassified programs with worldwide program management.

Atmospherics Program ~ Afghanistan (AP-A) gathers, analyzes, and disseminates open source information. AP-A Team members monitor and track trends in local sentiment, mood, attitude and opinions with regard to cultural, social, religious, political, economic and tribal matters.

Senior Reports Analyst (SRA): Position is located in Springfield, VA. Position is primarily responsible for supervising the quality control of atmospheric reporting and uploading information into government approved systems. Duties also include storing and retrieving atmospherics and other open source data.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Review raw data reports and drafts for completeness, accuracy, format, and intended recipients. Edit and collate raw reports into products ready for distribution to senior staff cells.

2. Serve as principal Quality Control expert on Atmospherics reporting. Provide regular written reports on the quantity and quality of reports.

3. Ensure timely processing, distribution, receipt and filing of reports in CIDNE or similar systems.

4. Responsible for, coordinating, scheduling and supervising the efforts of RAs within QA/QC/CIDNE Cell.

Required

1. Must be US citizen and possess or be able to obtain DoD US Secret Clearance. (NATO cleared personnel with a valid US work visa may also be considered.)

2. Possess at least 6 years experience in preparing and distributing reports and briefings in support of a military staff or DoD program. (Master's Degree or US Government internship in similar capacity may be substituted for military experience.)

3. Possess both professional knowledge and demonstrated experience with Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE) or Harmony Web, or similar systems used to report incidents and distribute large volumes of information.

4. Demonstrate ability to serve as subject matter expert and Quality Control reviewer for CIDNE training, data base maintenance, data base analysis, routing and functional productivity.

5. Possess strong writing skills and professional U.S. Government education and/or experience in intelligence, all-source analysis, and reports receiving, processing and distribution management.

6. Working knowledge of MS Office suite programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

7. Ability to work shift work including weekends and holidays.

•One year recent experience writing and/or QA/QCing products in the Afghanistan Area of Responsibility.
