Job Description:  The Senior Hydrogeologist will be based in our Sacramento, CA office and will support our existing activities and to grow our capacity to serve clients in a number of different fields. The focus of the role will be on large environmental site assessments and remediation projects at mining sites with technical challenges that require innovative thinking and high level problem solving.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Analysis of environmental data in the field and office settings, leading the development of site conceptual models and remedial strategies according to ITRC and ASTM documents, and leading technical report writing activities. All work would be performed along with a team of experienced environmental professionals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  100% of TIME

  • Experience with environmental site assessments, site remediation, and groundwater monitoring in support of state and Federal CERCLA/RCRA sites;
  • Training in contaminant and physical hydrogeology with specific experience in working;
  • Advanced degree in Geology or Hydrogeology preferred;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Consulting experience and knowledge of provincial and
  • federal acts and policies is an asset;
  • Experience with groundwater resources, mining, environmental assessment and/or groundwater modeling is an asset
 
POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • The individual will be required to work in more than one venue.
  • Work environment: Office 25%, Field 75%. Will vary based on workflow and type.
  • Physical demands: Will need to pass an annual physical to demonstrate fitness to perform field work.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screen
.
Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree. Discipline: Geology or science degree and relevant experience
  • Professional Geologist or Professional Engineering (PE) registration is required;
  • Minimum 15 years' experience as a Hydrogeologist /Engineer and 10 years' working as a project manager.
