Duties will include having a full understanding of the financial requirements of the client contract and taking a lead role in setting up the accounting procedures and work processes necessary to support the projects onshore and offshore activities as well as implementation of appropriate administrative controls to ensure compliance with internal (Bechtel) and external & local statutory requirements. Candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations which may include accounts payable, general ledger reporting, tax reporting, audit coordination and other duties which may be required. Candidate will implement and maintain appropriate work processes to ensure compliance with all required client and/or country specific statutory regulations to provide early identification of any financial issues which may impact project profitability. Candidate will foster teamwork and effective working relationships within the Finance team in addition to the other functional areas of the organization both internally and externally. Provide ongoing communication to functional management and GBU/Project management in connection with status of financial activities and take the lead in coordinating/handling necessary due diligence to promptly identify financial issues which may impact project profitability and resolve or recommend alternatives for resolution.
