General Job Description Performs construction engineering assignments of a varied nature requiring a full working knowledge of construction engineering practices and the exercise of professional judgment within the framework of broad guidelines provided by superiors. May have leadership responsibility for less experienced construction engineers, construction office technical or clerical personnel. May specialize in a single field or area, or assume a lead role in a specific segment of a construction project. Assigned to a single discipline within a single area of a project. Receives technical supervision in the form of direction from supervising construction engineer or assigned supervising area manager. May provide technical and administrative guidance to clerical and para-technical personnel. On a large project, performs assigned activities in one discipline, interfacing with related tasks being performed in more than one discipline within a single area. On a medium to small Project, performs assigned activities in one discipline interfacing with other disciplines in all areas of the project. Position Duties/Responsibilities
Position Skills Skill Group/ Skill Proficiency Level Mechanical or Other Technical Degree Batchelor of Science Automation Skills, Microsoft Excel Basic Automation Skills, Microsoft Word Basic Automation Skills, BSAP Teamworks Basic Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.) Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
