Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four year accredited college or university.
• Must have 6 years of professional experience in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Must have experience in civil design, earthwork, and site work.
• Must be capable of preparing, checking/reviewing design calculations, drawings, and specifications for civil engineering site design and construction activities.
• Proficiency in the use of Microstation with InRoads (preferable) or Geopak is required.
• Must be capable of preparing/checking and/or reviewing of construction and vendor drawings.
• Must be capable of preparing civil site designs in Microstation.
• Must have strong site drainage design background with emphasis on Hydraulics and Hydrology and proficient in the use of civil design software (Pondpack, StormCAD, HEC-pack).
• Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.

Preferred Requirements:
• Masters degree or PHD preferred.
• Previous experience supervising a team engaged in nuclear power plant design and plant modifications is preferred.
• Candidates shall be familiar with the codes and standards, nuclear regulatory requirements, and permitting requirements for civil site designs and site preparation work for nuclear power plants.
• Capable of collection and/or evaluation of data and information affecting civil site designs for nuclear power plants.

Level Specific Responsibilities:

• Advanced level of knowledge within a specific discipline and a strong understanding of the other disciplines.
• Fully versed with the preparation and execution of project scope for a specific discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of business development concepts and methods and leads the project proposal process.
• Strong understanding of discipline tools and of company cornerstone applications.
• Fully versed in the collection and/or evaluation of data and information regarding technical and economic factors including physical, chemical, environmental, maintenance, operational, regulatory, constructability, and/or schedule factors relating to a specific subject within a discipline.
• Fully comprehends external factors that impact engineering problems.
• Fully understands the use of requisitions and the role of materials management.
• Has advanced knowledge and leads the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor cost requirements for a project and can monitor the effect of these on budget limitations.
• Has mastered and can lead all aspects of estimating for a discipline.
• Has an advanced level of knowledge of discipline material costs and has an advanced level of understanding of cost analysis and forecasting.
• Fully understands and leads the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks within a specific discipline.
• Fully versed in the project change control process, can train others and can identify potential changes.
• Responsible for performance management and mentoring.
• Provides assistance to projects to address technical issues related to process improvement.
• Develops training programs within area of technical expertise and conducts training sessions.
• Creates and maintains positive working relationships with peer leaders.
• Creates and maintains productive relationships with organizations both within and external to Engineering.
