Minimum Requirements:

URS Corporation is hiring qualified Electronics Technicians III in support of USMC Depot Augmentation - Albany, GA.

Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 7 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Position requires an advanced knowledge in the particular area of specialization plus a broad knowledge of other disciplines. Position requires working knowledge of computer hardware and software as well as mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills. Good written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.


Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

"Must have optic experience"

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

"Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English"


Job Description:

Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.

Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow. Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.

Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Perform a wide variety of duties of complex nature in the installation, modification and operation of equipment.
2. Work with section supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
3. Assist during installation, modification, and development of new or existing equipment.
4. Install, modify, and/or operate site process test units in compliance with approved operational procedures.
5. Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and administrative directives.
6. Provide miscellaneous technical and non-technical support as required or directed.
