Job Description:

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Geology or related field
• Minimum two years of field data collection, data review and preparation of technical documents.
• General knowledge of geological principles including physical geology, stratigraphy, structural geology, geomorphology, environmental geology, and geophysics
• Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to learn through on-the-job experience
• Proficiency in standard office suite software applications
• Awareness of behavior based safety culture and has successfully completed 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
• Valid TX Drivers License and ability to travel
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Job Description:

This professional will support environmental and geotechnical assessment/remediation projects by providing field support, data management and interpretation, technical assistance, and reporting. Field work will consist of supervising drilling activities, logging test borings, and collecting soil, surface water and groundwater, and soil gas samples. Other responsibilities include quality assurance, quality control of work product, and the development of work plans and writing reports presenting field results. Will also interact with multi-office and multi-discipline teams within URS. Travel is required. Majority of travel within Texas.
