Position Summary:
Archaeological monitor serving in a field position engaged in archaeological and cultural resource projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Duties: 

Working within an established cultural resources team, the successful candidate will conduct archaeological monitoring as assigned as part of a project, complete daily reporting logs and contribute to monthly reports, conduct records searches, assist in archaeological laboratory tasks, conduct various archaeological field duties such as survey, excavation and site recordation under the direction of a senior archaeologist, assist in report preparation, and other duties may be assigned.  This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

1. Must be willing to travel locally to conduct field work.
2. Must be familiar with the use of hand-held sub-meter GPS units
3. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education Requirements:

A B.S. or B.A. degree in anthropology, archaeology, historical archaeology, or a related field, and one year experience  in California archaeology; or An A.S. or A.A. degree in anthropology, archaeology, historical archaeology, or a related field, and four years  of experience  in Pacific Northwest archaeology; or Enrollment in upper division classes pursuing a degree in the fields of anthropology, archaeology, historical archaeology, or a related field, and two years of experience in Washington or Oregon archaeology.

Other Job Specifications:

• Part-time variable position employed on an as-needed basis
• Must be willing to travel and potentially spend up to several
  weeks/months conducting field tasks.
• Other duties may include office and/or lab work associated with cultural resource management.
• Project expenses will be reimbursed.
