AECOM is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our newly designed Chicago office.
Job Description:
- Work within a project team environment, interfacing and communicating with other design team members.
- Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment under the supervision of experienced engineers in the design of mechanical systems for government and commercial facilities.
- Design of duct and piping systems.
- Perform building heating and cooling load calculations. Analysis and selection of HVAC mechanical equipment.
- Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Prepare and develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings. Implement and follow Company Quality Management System Procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- 2+ years of related experience, 5+ years preferred
- Experience in performing HVAC engineer duties including development of concept design, preparation of construction documents, and construction inspections is desired. Registered Engineer-In-Training desired.
- LEED Accredited Professional desired.
