The Baltimore office is seeking a railway civil engineer to join our Track Department, to perform rail alignment design, rail yard design, special trackwork design and track component design, and rail project planning support for heavy rail transit, light rail transit, streetcar, commuter rail, and railroad projects. Successful candidate will be based in the Baltimore office, and will also travel to other offices from time to time to assist in track design supporting rail transit agencies and railroads outside the State of Maryland. Position can be located in Baltimore or Arlington, VA
Qualifications: Experience with railway related track structure analysis, subgrade design, drainage, survey and right-of-way, is desired. Experience with different types of track construction, including ballasted, direct fixation, and embedded track is also desired. Track design including writing of track specifications and technical reports Construction experience, including track inspection, inspection results reporting, Contractor submittal reviews, and responding to Requests for Information.Requirements:
- BS degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Experience with Microstation and either InRoads or InRail,.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Autodesk Land Desktop is also highly preferred.
