JOB FUNCTION: Prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures and equipment as assigned. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking. • Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim and sand. • Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces. • Paint mechanical and electrical equipment. • Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency. • Performs other job related tasks. • Perform minor plaster work to include scratch coat and finish coat. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions. • A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. EXPERIENCE: Four years experience relating to painting, spray painting, plastering, and spackling. EDUCATION: High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
SECURITY: Must be a U.S. Citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance. No relocation provided.
