Job Summary At Waste Management, in our Processed Engineered Fuel division, a PEF Wheel Loader Operator performs duties relevant to all phases of tipping floor, material load-out and pellet storage building operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities A PEF Wheel Loader Operator monitors and directs refuse trucks and trash delivery to proper bay on the tipping floor. Screening trash loads for unacceptable waste and completing appropriate inspection reports. You will assist the Grapple Crane Operator with implementation of good tipping floor management processes. Responsibilities consist of ensuring the tipping area is clear of obstacles to maintain smooth flow of traffic. You are expected to follow standard safety procedures in adherence to Company policies and correct safety and environmental hazards. You must ensure that any unsafe conditions are reported to facility supervision immediately. Load pellet trucks and monitoring pellet storage facilities is another duty of this position. A PEF Wheel Loader Operator is responsible for operating equipment in accordance with manufacturer supplied operator's manual and Company tipping floor safety guidelines. Perform routine maintenance on mobile equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor, and assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in equipment. You will perform general housekeeping duties in assigned area to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility. Operations of other equipment including, but not limited to, grapple crane, industrial forklifts, skid steer type loaders and other mobile equipment as needed. Additional minor duties may be assigned by your manager or supervisor.
