Job Description:  The Body Shop are offering this exciting role for a Treasury Analyst to support our Treasury team with the accurate and timely delivery of forecasting and analysis, and offer sound advice and guidance to relevant business areas in respect of Treasury.

Role Definitions

Key Job Accountabilities:


  • Identifying foreign exchange currency exposures arising from day to day transactions and reccomand hedging in accordance with Group Treasury Policies.

  • Maintain and improve financial model to budget and forecast foreign exchange currency exposures

  • Analyse FX budget, forecasts/trends against actual and reconcile impact to income statement or deferral in the balance sheet (shareholder equity, inventories or fixed assets) of foreign exchange gain/losses.

  • Evaluate the mark to market movements in derivative portfolio and report on variation in intrinsic and time value.

  • Set up and maintain appropriate IAS 39 documentation to support the hedging relationships between derivative instruments and the underlying hedged risk using FX Report tool.

  • Ensure all paperwork in relation to Guarantees/ Bank Accounts/Contracts are appropriately filed

  • With guidance from the Group Treasurer, prepare and complete the Group's cash pooling forecast process to In House Bank on a daily basis.

  • Complete and maintain the "Group Exchange Report" on a monthly basis

  • Maintain Banking Details database and ensure all authorisers have appropriate systems access, as required

  • Continually assist the Treasury department with the development of improved internal controls and processes to reduce cost and efficiencies within the role


Other

  • Design and maintain written procedures for all processes used within the role

  • Deputise, where required for the Group Treasurer on tasks such as Loan Renewals and Monthly Netting etc.

  • Offer advice and guidance to business areas in respect of Treasury



  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and data e.g. annual bank reviews, as required

  • Maintain the ethical standards of The Body Shop minimising the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace

  • Champion, support and participate in The Body Shop's values and campaigns


Experience:


  • Experience of FX and IAS 39 principles

  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Extensive use of excel with sound knowledge of formulas essential

  • Previous experience of working with consolidated accounts in a multinational/multicurrency environment

  • Previous experience of forecasting essential

  • Previous experience of working with SAP desirable, but not essential

  • Proven understanding of basic cash management desirable

  • Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Sound communication and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • A "can do attitude"

  • Previous experience of working in a retail Finance or Treasury function in a multi-national Company desirable


Qualifications:


  • CIMA/ACCA qualification or equivalent

  • ACT Qualification preferable
