Job Description:  SUMMARY:
The Seafood Supervisor works closely with the Seafood Team Leader and Associate Team Leader to ensure smooth operation of the Team. Assist the Seafood Team Leader in personnel issues and with supervision of Seafood Team Members. Maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Support the Team Leader, Associate Team Leader and Regional Coordinator in maintaining regional standards

DUTIES:
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Seafood Team Member
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Seafood Team Members.
  • Communicate any departmental concerns to the Seafood Team Leader and/or Associate Team Leader.
  • Support the Associate Team Leader in training new Seafood Team Members.
  • Determine break schedule and ensure all necessary breaks are given.
  • Answer questions and solve problems in the Seafood Team Leader or Associate Team Leaders absence.
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation and cleaning checklists.
  • Build displays and request appropriate signage.
  • Help the Associate Team Leader with handling customers special orders.
  • Responsible for adhering to, enforcing and observing proper dress code, including non-slip shoes and cut-resistant gloves during each work shift.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary department.
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Report all life safety and fire hazards along with any other violations of company policy, to Team Leader for correction and report all accidents and injuries to Team Leader or Store Leadership immediately.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Seafood experience required.
  • Excellent cutting/ filetting skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of seafood and cooking techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in knife handling and use of other cutting equipment.
  • Willingness to teach and give direction.
  • Willingness to receive constructive feedback pertaining to job performance.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Creativity, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and a desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products.
