The Power GBU Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Organization is looking for a skilled IT professional to support a telecommunications project based in San Ramon, CA. Successful candidate will implement and recommend changes to the Information Technology (IT) plan, configure and install standard hardware and software, provide basic automation support and coordination and implement the IT portion of the project execution plan. Will also perform a broad range of varied automation and communications related work activities. Essential job duties: Providing comprehensive technical support and training coordination required to implement the Project IT Plan Implementing applicable portions of Bechtel's safety program to Project IT systems Developing, executing and coordinating project automation requirements while monitoring IT industry innovations to add value to work processes Processing non-standard requests according to global/regional automation policies and procedures Developing, executing and maintaining the Project IT Plan Communicating standard IS&T services to the project for hardware, software and communications Identifying and developing discipline standards (Bechtel Refined Intellectual Capital - BRICs) Providing budget planning and reporting, cost estimating and furnishing input during the bid, proposal, and execution of the project Coordinating automation implementations in project offices and jobsites in accordance with national and local standards and regulations Basic Requirements 6+ years experience with hardware and operating systems including system architectures, network infrastructures, client server principles, backup, recovery, and storage policies and procedures, and planning and implementing disaster prevention and recovery 2+ years experience assisting with the development and execution of IT plans associated with key business initiatives 3+ years experience identifying, tracking and resolving problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems Bachelor's or higher level degree Additional Information - Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or higher level degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other IT related field 1+ year experience with business case analysis and reporting and evaluating buy vs. build 2+ years experience with the coordination and execution of IT plans associated with EPC projects Demonstrated skill in supervising, developing and coaching employees PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2 or related certification Six Sigma Certification Bechtel is among the most respected engineering, procurement, and construction companies in the world.
