Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field and familiar with residential wood frame construction.
• Must be proficient in AutoCad and Microsoft Word/Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Candidate will be required to document and present work in a clear and concise manner
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
• Valid Driver's License

Job Description:

The IE Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented architect / designer for immediate employment in the Clifton, NJ office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in architecture, specific to new construction, renovation and restoration design. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including healthcare, institutional and higher education type projects.

Candidate will assist in a variety of projects, including new construction, renovations and restoration work for our major clients.

Project types may be local or national, with varying degrees of complexities and challenges.

Under the direction of a Project Architect, candidate will assist with construction documents and preliminary designs using AutoCAD and REVIT.

Candidate will be involved in the processing & reviewing of shop drawings.

Will occasionally travel to client and field sites to conduct field surveys of existing buildings.

Other architectural work will be performed as required.
