Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical engineering emphasis or or appropriate discipline • Currently enrolled as a Master's or PhD student at an accredited university with a relevant major • Candidate must have the ability to interface with management, staff and clients • Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (Examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, Microstation, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic models) • Some travel may be required • Written, oral communication and follow through skills are a must • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: Do the best work of your life! The geotechnical department of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented intern for immediate employment in the Sacramento office. The intern will assist with the execution of geotechnical engineering analysis, design, and reporting.
Incumbent Responsibilities: • Geotechnical analyses • Preparation of summary reports, tables, spreadsheets, and figures. • Geotechnical design using project specific software. • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above.
