Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field and 12 years of experience in the maintenance field or Bachelor_s degree from an accredited institute in an engineering field with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Years of experience can be substituted for education. Applicant must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Applicant must possess the technical ability to understand and interpret any or all of the following: electrical codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes, Plumbing Standards, Boiler Operations, Waste Water Operations and ASME where applicable.
The position requires familiarity with and ability to stay current with industry standards. Previous experience and knowledge of FSEU applications and experience and knowledge of NASA Maintenance goals, Facility Maintenance Application, PM and RCM standards a plus. The position also requires interface on many technical issues with the customer. Working knowledge of MAXIMO and other operating databases a plus. Good written and oral communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and work under deadlines. Field site visits will be required from time to time to evaluate and direct field operations.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job. Job Description: Plan, manage, control, direct and coordinate the overall activities for a Branch of the ISC FSUE and O&M division to include multi-skilled craftsmen and supervisors in performing facility maintenance. Fulfill work requests in compliance with customer requirements. Provide leadership to a group of multi-skilled craftsmen and supervisors to ensure all customer and user requirements and expectations in cost, quality and schedules are met. Maintain current operational status information and assessments on projects, budgets, and development plans. Evaluate and adjust procedures or reassign priorities to projects/tasks to keep activities on schedule and within budget. Ensure appropriate training is provided to personnel to promote continuous improvement of customer services. Interact and coordinate with the customer on a personal basis to ensure all customer requirements/agreements are being met to their satisfaction. Perform other related managerial tasks as requested by senior management.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Supervise a large number of multi-skilled craftsmen and supervisors. 2) Manage and implement the latest technologies within in the scope of the branch. 3) Evaluate Code compliance and application for all applicable codes. 4) Manage projects to ensure specific goals and metrics are met per contract requirements. 5) Ensure environmental and safety compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and/or contractual requirements as related to the business of the unit or section. 6) Ensure customer satisfaction while working within the limits of established policy, procedures and work instructions. 7) Provide guidance to supervisors to assist in the interpretation of codes and work instructions. 8) Interface with union officials to resolve issues and/or complaints. 9) Provides O&M support to NASA/USAF-managed construction projects. Interfaces internal and external organizations to ensure onsite and offsite services are provided without dusruption. 10) Identifies new and meets existing performance metrics. Work with all contract organizations to ensure operations and maintenance efforts are supported and efficient. Assures timely delivery of contract deliverables. 11) Ensure personnel maintain certification and all work is performed in accordance with NASA, KSC, company, and external agency policies and procedure. Identify and ensure personnel maintain qualifications/certifications.
