Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, soil science, agriculture, wetlands management, geology or any earth science related field.
• Entry level position; no relevant experience required.
• General knowledge of environmental science principles and local systems.
• General knowledge of state and federal environmental regulatory framework helpful.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to write and to convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner.
• Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner.
• Ability to learn through on-the-job experience..
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The Disaster Recovery Group of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Graduate Environmental Scientist for immediate employment in the Baton Rouge, LA office. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

Incumbent Responsibilities:

Compilation and organization of environmental data collected by field scientists.
Application of standard field practices and techniques in specific situations.
Preparation of basic data and scientific documents.
Review of analytical data for general indicators of quality for routine analyses based on well-defined guidelines.
