Senior Manager/Manager, Strategic Initiatives


The Senior Manager/Manager, Strategic Initiatives will help advance the agenda of executive leadership by driving critical initiatives.   This position will report to the President's Chief of Staff (and head of Corporate Strategy) and be responsible for planning and/or managing key activities, including annual strategic planning process, program management of executive priorities, corporate and executive calendar development, researching/conducting executive briefings, agenda development and preparation for key meetings, major event planning and execution, and full-breadth support (research, analytics, analysis, presentation, coordination) of critical initiatives which are of strategic importance to AECOM.   This position requires the acumen to handle complex situations, balance multiple responsibilities, and influence key stakeholders.   The position is based at AECOM's corporate headquarters in downtown Los Angeles and may require some travel.  

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager/Manager, Strategic Initiatives will:

  • Program manage key strategic and organizational work streams and strategic initiatives
  • Support critical initiatives of strategic importance to AECOM by conducting market research, competitive analysis, financial reporting, strategic analysis, presentation development and project execution as needed
  • Manage and coordinate the executive calendar and activities, including calls, meetings, conferences, presentations and communications
  • Oversee and/or develop briefing materials (biographies, presentations, reports, scripts, etc.) for key meetings and other events with internal and external parties including senior level AECOM in-country, operational and corporate managers, Finance, Investor Relations, Communications, M&A, AECOM Board related functions, and government officials, senior business partners and clientele
  • Collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, build strong and sustainable relationships and interact within all levels of the organization. Establish excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including the executive team
  • Understand the structure of the organization to interact with internal partners; manage the flow of information and contacts in/out of the organization based on a deep and strategic knowledge of the AECOM's priorities
  • Routinely track, assess and provide information on financial markets as well as geopolitical issues and trends to ensure that the executives remain up-to-date on emerging global issues
  • Partner with the Executive Assistants to address and coordinate administrative issues
  • Manage the group budget
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of initiative, creativity and latitude is expected
