Job Summary Our Heavy Equipment Technicians are responsible for performing major servicing and repairs on Waste Management vehicles and heavy equipment, beyond just basic maintenances. These maintenances could include complete repair of brakes, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and preventative maintenance inspections. This position could require making service calls to types of heavy equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Additionally, you must either currently have your Class B CDL or be willing to attain it within 6 months of hire. Equipment worked on can vary by site and include but not be limited to: Heavy Equipment, Large Trucks, construction type equipment such as scrapers, dozers, and excavators. Work hours may require overtime, weekends and/or holidays. In addition to these responsibilities, they are also required to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally must work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
