Job Summary Our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Technician is responsible for performing major servicing and repairs on Company equipment, beyond the scope of basic preventive maintenance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Our Technicians must possess the knowledge and proficiency to diagnose and repair compactor electrical and hydraulic systems and hydraulic power packs both on and off the site, possess the ability to modify areas and receivers on MRF compactors, and be able to make packing blade pressure adjustments while ensuring that MRF compactors meet OSHA and ANSI specifications. Technicians will be required to repair and/or install any site electrical, air and plumbing system in the site according to code regulations, instruct other mechanics and assist them in completing repair assignments, fabricate parts for MRF compactors as required, and repair and / or rebuild packing blades and hydraulic cylinders. Technicians must also work well with limited supervision exercising knowledge of acceptable conditions as prescribed by company policies and procedures, be responsible for the accurate initiation of repair orders with all the required areas filled in, labor and operations detailed and time recorded by system codes, and maintain their work area in a clean, efficient and safe manner. Assist in general clean up of the shop and surrounding areas. Supervisory Responsibilities "This job has no supervisory duties."
