Job Summary Rides on truck and collects refuse on designated route. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. ? Gathers and carries containers from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse from containers onto truck. ? Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to rear of truck. ? Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body. ? Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on garbage truck. ? Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck at dump site. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: Six months previous experience. B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements None required. C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required None required.
